"Peristerionas" waterfall of Eresos
The “Peristerionas” waterfall is formed due to geological faults that affect the region’s structure, primarily impacting the volcanic andesitic lava flows.
The Roussou stream originates from the historic peak of Aetos (503 m). Its waters tumble down a steep cliff over 18 meters high, creating an impressive waterfall. The force of the falling water naturally carves the ground, forming a small pond at the point of impact.
From there, the water continues its journey and flows into the “Tsobani Lakko” waterfall.
